No no no I'm not talking about poultry or deli or anything like that. I'm talking about Melanie Elizabeth Anne Terry, my sister. I have never blogged about my sister, but I think it's time I devoted a blog just to her.
My sister is 2 years and 12 days younger than me. We used to get along really well when we were kids (like most brothers and sisters do), and then once we moved to Oshawa, things went downhill.
When we were in high school, my sister was very embarrassed of me, I think it's because I was not part of that "cool" crowd, and that I had my own little clique. She always said things to her friends about me, and they kinda always giggled after I walked by, or said something under their breath. Things have gotten better through the years, not much, but enough that we can at least have somewhat of a half-assed conversation with each other. But it's not what I want. I want to be able to have a close relationship with my sister, I always have.
I want to be that brother who you can talk to when something isn't going right, when you need someone to talk to. I want to be that brother that you are close with, that brother that you tell people about who is always there for you.
Even though I highly doubt you will read this, I want you to know, I am always here for you no matter what. I love you Melanie, like a brother should love his sister.
I want you to know this, like I said, even though you will probably never read this.
